The idea behind the entire project stems from the desire to rethink the spaces, providing a new furnishing concept for two areas: the living room and the eat-in kitchen.
The two rooms, though adjacent, are separated by a wall.
This structural feature of the apartment meant that the design of both spaces had to feature elements of stylistic continuity. Thus, the eventual elimination of the dividing wall would create an open space where the rooms and furnishings are perfectly integrated.
The wall unit was made of white lacquered wood and walnut slanting shelves.
The white lacquered vertical doors give the wall a modern and minimalist look, while the walnut slanting shelves add a touch of elegance and natural warmth.
The shelves are backlit, creating a bright and welcoming effect, perfect for creating the right atmosphere for relaxation.
Behind the TV, a floor-to-ceiling panel was created, lined with beige floral wallpaper. A chromatic contrast between the white doors and the walnut shelves adds a touch of personality to the wall unit, creating a visually appealing focal point.
The coffee table in front of the sofa echoes the colors and shapes of the wall unit, creating a continuum with it.
The kitchen, also in shades of white, deliberately differentiates itself from the wall unit by using a contrasting color, black. This color choice reflects the desire to create continuity between the living area and the kitchen while maintaining stylistic independence between the spaces.
