A subtle harmony binds the materials, colors, and shapes of this apartment. Each room is the result of a tailored project, where customization is not a whim but a functional necessity. The space tells a story of balance between aesthetics and ingenuity, between comfort and design rigor.
The kitchen: custom geometries and living materials
The beating heart of the home is a fully custom kitchen, designed to enhance a significant lowering of the plasterboard vault that conceals the entire apartment's air conditioning units. The result is a floor-to-ceiling composition in blue-gray tones, understated and refined, that dialogues with the whiteness of the Calacatta Statuario quartz countertop.
Breaking up the monochrome palette, shelves and niches in natural oak, with a transparent varnish, introduce a warm, textured feel. It's a calibrated contrast that tempers the coldness of the quartz and restores visual depth.
On the opposite side, the pantry, flush with the hallway door, becomes a connection with the living area. A large oak shelf extends from a side open compartment and transforms into a suspended living room unit, a continuous line that ideally connects the two spaces. The wall on which it rests is covered in blue-gray wallpaper, a chromatic echo that ties together the kitchen.
The island, with its induction hob and quartz legs, is both a technical and sculptural element. The natural oak backsplash softens its presence, making it a meeting point rather than a barrier. Completing the space is a table extendable up to 2.50 meters, with an iron base and a white lacquered glass top: a luminous detail that reflects light and amplifies the perception of space.
The Master Bathroom: Chiaroscuro Elegance
In the master bathroom, material takes center stage. The Marazzi black Marquina marble surfaces, with their deep white veining, create a sophisticated and theatrical atmosphere. The freestanding sink, clad in the same slabs, is a true monolith of elegance, yet remains functional: its structure can be opened, a testament to a design that combines aesthetics and practicality.
The antique pink lacquered wood vanity introduces a warm and unexpected note, a chromatic counterpoint that softens the strength of the marble. The scalloped edge is also made of the same slab, a seamless detail that reinforces the material identity of the space. The backlit mirror, spanning the entire wall, amplifies the space and creates a play of reflections that enhances the contrasts.
The secondary bathroom: sobriety and restraint
In the second bathroom, the language changes but not the design rigor. Here, white dominates: the Carrara marble slabs, used for both the cladding and the sink countertop, lend light and lightness. The suspended natural oak vanity, with its Carrara scalloped edge, maintains a connection with the kitchen materials, creating a narrative coherence between the different rooms of the home.
A technical detail becomes a design element: the 45-degree cut of the doors and countertop, designed for ease of opening, gives the unit a clean, contemporary profile.
The laundry area, hidden behind sliding doors with open handles, responds to a philosophy of efficiency and comfort. Natural ventilation prevents humidity buildup and ensures a consistently dry and functional environment, without sacrificing a clean, uncluttered aesthetic.
A coherent project with a strong personality
In every room, the same touch is evident, the same quest for balance between color, material, and proportion. Blue-gray and oak become the common thread in a domestic narrative where nothing is left to chance: an apartment that interprets design not as decoration, but as the art of living well.
